James Revier Foster, 54, a resident of Seattle, Washington for over forty years and a member of Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church for thirty plus years made his transition to the Lord on 14 December 2015. A longtime Christian missionary, he lived a life of dedication to God and justice. As a member of the Missionary Society of his church, James visited prisons, nursing homes, and other locations where people were in need. He had a unique and resonant singing voice, which was a pleasure to hear on those occasions when he would agree to sing.

Born in Spokane, Washington on 7 November 1961, James moved to Seattle with his family as a youth. He was graduated from Ingraham High School and later moved to the south end of Seattle where he resided for thirty years.

James is survived by his God-daughter Lashaye Perkins and by his siblings A-Yemisi Jimoh, Johnny DeWayne Foster, Myzell E. Foster, Ginnette Foster, Stephanie R. Foster-Love, Rodney E. Parris-Foster, Eleanor Foster, Charlene Foster, Monique Sanders Foster, Michelle Sanders Foster, and Brenda Foster. He was preceded in death by his mother Ida Mae (Foster) Whittaker and by his brother Mark Decal Foster.

His family, friends, and church family will miss the wit and sincerity of our beloved James.
